I find this to be on the sweet side. The sweetness overwhelms any blueberry fragrance or flavor. If you don't mind the sweetness, then it's pretty good. Just make sure to store it in the fridge. We left the jar out on the counter, and after a couple months there was mold inside. Unfortunately, due to the opaque mason jar with the tiny opening, you can't quite see what's inside
This is a thick and hearty blueberry syrup, with lovely pieces of blueberry. I'm now hooked on waffles with this blueberry syrup, and a little goes a long way. It does not taste homemade, it's better. I also love this syrup on a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum
