solid dishrack
I know in the grand scheme of kitchen goods it probably doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of difference between one dish rack and the next but this dish rack really stands out from others I've used. The rack is designed so that you have optimal flexibility in the placement of the drain spout and the utensil/kitchen-tool baskets. While my dish rack is usually a staple on my kitchen counter I love that the baskets detach and the walls fold down for easy storage if I need to free-up counter space. I also LOVE the build of the utensil baskets - the standard utensil basket that most dish racks have has 3 completely separate compartments which I prefer over one large basket where smaller utensils can fall down and get lost in. The removable knife block is genius - I have a quality cutlery set and I hand wash my knives. Allowing my knives to dry safely has always been a concern and this rack addresses that. I also love the bonus basket with glass fingers to keep drink ware propped up out of the way and slots for larger knives - again a much appreciated added safety feature. This basket is also a great place for smaller lids and kitchen tools that can fall through the grooves if placed on the rack or get lost in the larger utensil basket. I love that part of the rack has traditional slots for plates as well as a flattened part where the metal bars have a wave pattern - perfect for larger cookware like pots/pans/baking dishes or for drying additional glasses and deeper dishes/containers that need a flat surface. This rack is sturdy and compact and I love that there are no nooks or crannies where water can pool or gunk can grow. Hands down the best dish rack I've ever used!

OXO Dishrack
After researching many other dishracks online, I took a chance and ordered this OXO. This is one great dishrack! I have not found a single feature lacking. Perfect design that makes me wish I had found it years ago. The capacity is surprising, the features beyond any other rack. The knife block is great for my good knives, the glass ""fingers"" good, as are the ""waves"" for the dishes and pots/lids. One of the best features for me is the dish mat design. It is sloped with the extended spout. Being able to remove the elevated mat and clean it is ingenious. All other mats I have had sit flat on the counter surface and water gets beneath. I would recommend this dishrack very highly

Finally and integrated drain!
My housekeeper has broken off so many of the plastic drain devices on my dish drying racks I was about to lose my mind. This one cannot be snapped off - Hooray!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the knife rack is a bit lacking. Only my paring knife and my chef's knife fit in the designated holes. Would be nice if I could get my slicers in as well.

Almost perfect
For the most part, I am pleased with the dish rack. I love its size that can accommodate large pots, pans and serving dishes. The knife rack is fantastic. But, I am disappointed with the "fingers" for the glassware. The "fingers" are unable to keep any of the glasses upright and also seem rather flimsy. So I'm forced to dry the glasses elsewhere on the rack.

I wanted a dishrack that had a drain board that flowed into the sink. It works perfectly. It's the best dishrack I've ever owned, actually.

we have used this dish rack for the past 4 years & it is the best one I have found. I get a new one every year, because it gets lots of use. I ordered 2 this time because I don't know if it will be available in the distant future.

I love this dish rack and am replacing existing one I have had for 3 years and finally wore it out. Very easy to fold up and also comes apart easily to clean. I highly recommend this rack

I like the look, and from what other reviewers said the drain is versatile. Clean steel appeals to me much more than plastic or rubber.

It had the features that I was looking for -- fold-up ability, looks, and good functionality -- and the reviews were good.

Love that the drainspot is all one piece. I have gone through so many of these drying racks because my maid keeps breaking off the drainage spouts. Hopefully this one will eliminate that issue.

Needed a new, more conventional dish rack.

The reviews state there is a knife block however it isn't shown in the photo. ?? It IS included yes?
A shopper on Jan 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the knife block was included with the dishrack. I find this to be an excellent dishrack. It holds big pots and small things. I'm able to keep it clean, too, without a major cleaning effort. It comes apart easily and reassembles well. If I had two sinks, I'd buy this dishrack for it!
The picture shows a knife laying down in the rack, is that correct?
A shopper on Feb 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I guess you could lay a knife there. I have never done that. I usually put the knives in the silverware caddy. This space in the photo, is actually 3 seperate compartments. It works well for small lids and things of that size. I hope this helps :)
