I was excited to receive these canisters. They are beautiful pieces. But the medium sized canister did not seal completely and my sugar hardened. Unfortunately, I will need to return them

I have had these canisters for several months now, and love them. They all seal nicely, so I haven't had the trouble the other reviewer has had with them

I chipped the sugar canister we purchased in Sorrento, and this was almost an exact duplicate. (It's missing the label "Zucchero")

I absolutely love Deruta ceramics but cannot aford the real stuff that is made in Italy. These are beautiful alternatives and will look good in my Tuscan style kitchen.

BEST ANSWER: These canisters all come with a rubber seal on the lid, while this does help to protect the contents of the canister, it does not create an air-tight seal
