My family was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance and needed to replace many of my kitchen items including my colanders. I don't have a lot of space in my kitchen and did not want to buy a plastic collapsible colander so when the salesperson showed this to me in the Plano store, although expensive, I decided to buy it. I have no regrets, this is an excellent colander! It works very well, and the gluten free pasta didn't stick to it. I appreciate that it collapses and doesn't take up a lot of space like my former stainless steel colander. If you are on the fence, go ahead and purchase it. You won't be sorry. This is constructed very well and will last a very long time
I've had this wonderful colander for a couple of years now and it's been a great tool in my kitchen! It's held up very well and is the best of the best in quality. Sure, it cost way more than your average colander, but the quality and design are worth it. No other collapsible colander offers this. In fact, this brands products can't be compared to anything else. This would make a lovely gift to any cook
I needed to replace two old colanders, one plastic and one aluminum on which the handle broke. I seem to have accumulated quite a bit of kitchen equipment and gadgets over the years and was looking to save some space. I saw this colander in the store and really liked the looks of it. The reviews I read were very positive so I'm hoping to get good use out of it and also fit it in nicely in the cupboard.
Best Answer:As far as I know, no silicone products contain BPA. I didn't see BPA free, but a few years ago my chiropractor told me to toss all of my plastic but I could keep all of my silicone. I've never worried about silicone and when I googled it everything I could find says that silicone is safe and does not contain BPA. If you see a chiropractor, I would just ask them. I hope that helps. :
