Look out! It warps!!
We have a ceramic cook-top. The Grill Pan worked well at first but quickly began to sag in the middle and would not sit flat on the stove. It bulged over 1/2 inch in the middle. We called All-Clad and they told us that they would not honor the warranty because the pan was meant to used on gas cook tops only. We love the rest of our All-Clad cookware, this one lasted a few months and then was sent to the recycle bin.

Is this appropriate for use on a glass cooktop?

Specifically, is this safe for my glass cooktop
A shopper on Apr 30, 2011
Best Answer: Any type pot or pan can be used on a glass top stove, provided that its bottom is perfectly flat. If the bottom is warped or rounded, the pan will take a long time to heat properly, cook unevenly and waste energy. Flat bottoms utilize heat efficiently through the glass barrier. File any manufacturing burrs or imperfections on metal cookware bottoms to avoid scratching the glass surface. Ridged bottoms like those on grills and some cookware should not be used; the uneven surface reflects heat back on the glass unevenly and could possibly lead to breakage, either to the glass or the cookware.

The All-Clad two-burner nonstick grill pan has a large cooking surface that fits over two burners, providing extra cooking area for indoor grilling. Aluminum core conducts heat evenly, and durable anodized-exterior finish won’t scratch, chip or peel. The nonstick cooking surface means easy release and cleanup. Sturdy stay-cool riveted handles for comfort and safety. However it does not have a flat bottom and therefore is not recommended for a glass top stove.
