Great replacement for old plastics!
I was on the search for some great glass food storage containers for months before I ran across these bright beauties. We have loved them! The lids are easy to put on and take off. The glass is thicker than some Pyrex dishes I had tried out.

It's too darn hot!
I wanted these just for microwaving stuff as an upgrade to the plastic frozen meal trays I had been using.

After heating food, they get too hot to pick up and they are too heavy, slippery and awkward with a pot holder. They aren't satisfactory for this use.

are these oven proof the glass storage containers?
Debbie K on Sep 14, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, the "tempered" glass containers are oven safe, but the plastic covers are not. I have several sizes and use them all the time - for food storage, freezing, baking, etc. Hopefully if you decide to purchase them, you'll enjoy them as much as I do.

can you purchase replacement lids?
A shopper on Dec 17, 2014
Best Answer: Probably. I copied this from the warranty info: Anchor Hocking Company, Consumer Affairs
But, ODDLY, I get this message "Please do not include contact information in your posts, including phone numbers," so I cannot give you the phone number to call. But it says say this, so I will guess yes:
Or visit us on the website for additional care &use instructions and replacement
WHY WOULD I BE PROHIBITED FROM GIVING THEIR PHONE NUMBER SO A POTENTIAL CUSTOMER COULD CALL FOR INFO?
