This makes the fluffiest mashed potatoes!!
This really works but be careful not to over fill the hopper! If you do there will be some of the potato that gets pushed over the top of the hopper that doesn't get mashed and you have to re-scoop it back in to mash it. It will however, make delightfully smooth and fluffy mashed potatoes. I have never had such fabulously creamy and wonderful potatoes in my life. They are even better than my mothers! They do a wonderful job and I can't live without this product. I've been considering ordering another one just so I can have one for home and one to use at my in laws when we make sunday's family dinner. You will not regret this purchase. Oh, and clean up with this is a breeze as well. I love this thing. Even my husband who never understands why I buy so much kitchen stuff, says he loves it too and he says it's really easy to use. :

"easy to operate, easy cleanup, fluffy food!"
The way this piece of equipment works makes it easier to operate than other ricers - takes less strength. I like that the cup comes out for easy cleanup. I wouldn't make mashed potatoes without it. It gives a beautiful fluffy texture that you can't replicate with a hand masher. It's also useful for juicing. I use it to extract juice from pomegranate arils - takes a bit of elbow grease, but it does the job well

Be prepared
Over all the product works well and potatoes turn out very nice. However, it's a bit small and can be messy. Be prepared for the process to take a while. If you plan on doing more than 2-3 potatoes, I would recommend considering a food mill or tamis (althouh a tamis is also allot of work, but at least you can acquire them in a larger size). Clean up is relatively easy as well. Outcome of potatoes is VERY good

I like the idea of the more ease of use in regard to applying less pressure - hopefully this works well and I can fit a fair amount of potatoes in the ricer.

Item manufactured where?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This item is made in China.
What size are the holes on this ricer?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Holes are big enough to easily push a cooked potato through and guarantee no lumps. Holes are bigger than the ones on a garlic press. This product is bigger than I expected from the picture, and it's a very good size for ease of use.
