Founded in 1925, the Le Creuset factory in Fresnoy-Le-Grand France is a world-renowned maker of enameled cast iron cookware. The rigorous process starts with molten iron being sand cast from a single mold that"s destroyed after use, explaining why no two pieces are identical. Pots, pans and accessories are then painstakingly polished and finished by hand, then sprayed with two coats of enamel and fired twice. No other procedure yields cookware that so evenly conducts and retains heat, making Le Creuset cast iron second to none for slow cooking.
I bought this spatula because the description said it was made in the USA but the actual product has a ""made in China"" sticker. Quality is fine, but I try to buy made in USA products as often as possible. Description should be changed
I confess, I bought this spatula because it was pink, glittery and in a beautiful display in store. I thought the size was a little crazy, especially when compared to my mixer bowl, but it's wonderful!
Not only does it take fewer passes to clean the bowl out, it doesn't get all messy and leave a lot of stuff behind like my other smaller, non-le creuset spatulas. I don't know if it's just the size, or also the brand that makes this so great, but I love it so much that if I do find myself in need of a smaller one, I think it'd be worth a try
I recently bought a Cuisinart 7 quart stand mixer and this spatula is big enough to reach all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Handle is smooth and feels good in my hand. Sturdy and really reached all areas that I needed. I'm looking forward to using this spatula for many, many years to come
Great spatula and handle more ergonomic than previous one
I have used Le Creuset spatulas, sauce pans, and especially French ovens for decades now. Every once in a while, I need to refreshen my supply of spatulas. The handle has been changed from a simple flat wood to now a turned handle which is much more ergonomic. The silicone head remains the high quality for which Le Creuset is known. Sur la Table has this spatula in stock while the company store in Yemassee, SC does not.
