"simple, useful gadget"
After years and years of just using a toothpick to check doneness of cakes, I saw this on sale and bought it. Should have bought one long ago. It's longer and easier than a toothpick and the blue handle is easily visible in my baking tool drawer

Better than a toothpick
I recommend this product if you dislike fumbling with toothpicks. I use mine every time I bake.

I lost my cake tester and am replacing it. Much prefer a long, reusable tester than toothpicks.

How many inches long is the cake tester?

Best Answer: It's pretty long, I would say about 10 or 12 inches. I would measure it but it's packed away for moving.
