The ultimate way to stay safe and work quickly while grilling, this heat-resistant glove protects your hand from the searing heat of the grill. Also great for kitchen use, the thick, aramid-and-cotton construction is designed to withstand intense heat when grilling or handling hot pans. Mitt features a grid of nonslip material on the palm and fingers for a secure, comfortable grip when holding utensils or pan handles. Reversible for right- or left-handed use.
Manufacturer: Charcoal Companion
Material: Cotton, aramid
Care: Hand wash only. Hang dry
Use: Heat resistant to 475°F. Do not place directly against heat source or expose to open flames. Does not protect against heat from hot liquids. If glove becomes wet, remove immediately and dry completely before next use
I have used them all, cotton mitts, cotton gloves, silicone, leather, etc. This glove beats them all...I was skeptical by my hand stays cool when I pick things (skewers, a metal cooking grid) directly off the hot grill surface. The flexibility makes this glove the easiest to use.
We also use it in the kitchen. I highly recommend this BBQ glove
That I'm going back for another and getting them for gifts...I love to use them in the kitchen ...oven to table no problem. So much easier than mitts or hot pads. I can see where they might be small for folks with LARGE hands, but for my wife and I they are perfect. Primarily used indoors where the heat is some less than grilling, but they do work well at/around the Weber too! Word of caution, effectiveness decreases tremendously when they get wet so be careful when working around liquids
This is the second glove that I have purchased. The first one is for my home grill and I loved it so much I purchased a second one for the RV. It is great for turning metal skewers, removing a hot brick or any time that your hand is near the grill!
My mother in law has burned herself far too many times in her oven because her oven mitts are too short. According to the dimensions, this glove should be long enough plus the fact that it's more like an actual glove may give more flexibility.
