I have been searching for quality, BPA free outdoor glassware and thought I found it when I saw these at Sur La Table. They look great unitl the first time I washed them in my dishwasher. Lots of scratches & somewhat cloudy. I had them on the top shelf of my wonderful Bosch dishwasher. Needless to say, I'm disappointed

Welcome to plastic glassware
We have to have plastic glassware on our beach so we have been searching for a long time. One thing we have learned that no fine plastic glassware stays clear in the dishwasher, or even hot water and scratchy pads. Hand wash, gently with warm water, and you can get many seasons of aesthetic function from these glasses

How much can you ask of a shatterproof wineglass
I have used these glasses several times and they still look pretty good. Other plastic wineglasses I had were glued at the stem and the base, so they came apart when my husband put these in the dishwasher. Luckily that taught him the lesson before I got these. We always handwash them with a soft rag or sponge.
They are pretty big so they are adequate for red wine (as well as white).
I've had mine for over a year, and I will buy more as a gift to use by the pool
