Handsome, but not quite adequate
I bought a pair of these several years ago, and have found them to be a little dangerous, because there is not quite enough insulation, and when you are picking up something hot, it goes from comfortable to burning too quickly, AND suddenly. You might be halfway to your destination of just a few feet away, when the heat feels like it is burning through.

I still use them, but carefully and quickly and without great expectations.

They sure are handsome though.

Works Great
Owned these for several years and saved me from burns many a time.
These gloves are good for a higher temperature than the much more expensive neoprene mitt I own.

I use them for campfire cooking as well as grilling and they were particularly useful when preheating a cast iron griddle directly on hot coals.

Yes they have an odor but it's not mold but rather rawhide or minimally processed suede. I put them in a sealed container with baking soda at the bottom and it lessened the smell a lot.

Nice length, but cannot get rid of strong mold scent. Think about returning these gloves.
