I love the fact this unit is multi-function. I've wanted both a rice cooker and electronic pressure cooker. I am thrilled with the prospect of a combination unit to save storage space. This cooker is sleek looking, quiet when in use, and a breeze to clean with its internal nonstick surface. I have used my new Fagor in pressure cooker mode to make Risotto, which requires use of the browning function. The rice/onion mixture browned nicely and the risotto turned out marvelously. I also wasn't scared when using the pressure feature. I will certainly be using this item over and over again. Today I am slow cooking ribs in the unit- they already smell amazing.
Always wanted to try pressure cookers but was always concerned with the dangers of this method of cooking. This item takes that fear away! Easy to use, clear instructions on all 3 methods of cooking (Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Pressure), great cookbook comes with it, clean up is a snap, & great browning feature. You won't be disappointed with this purchase
This is my new favorite kitchen tool. Not only does this cook tasty meals quickly, but I have a small kitchen, so I was also able to get rid of my slow cooker and rice maker! If I get home late, I can make a healthy meal fast - tomato sauce, spices, and frozen meatballs become tasty spaghetti sauce in 4 minutes - and clean up is super easy with the Teflon coating. The 6 qt capacity looks a little small for a slow cooker, but it really is plenty of space for a family meal. Enjoy
We have found a way to use this every day for the past few weeks! It is so easy to use, and really does a nice job of cooking pretty much anything. The rice cooker function is incredible- we have tossed our old "rice cooker" and are enjoying the fluffy kind of rice that seemed only available at restaurants. The slow cooker cooks things without scorching in spots like our old unit did. And we love being able to brown/sauté and them cook right in the same pan. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a stainless steel insert option. I hate non-stick and would like to rid my house of plastics.... That said, I'm not getting rid of my multi-cooker :)
I really enjoy cooking with my new 3 in1 cooker! I made some Pulled BBQ Chicken sandwiches for my family last night in 4 hours. It was a quick and delicious meal. The cooking insert is easy to clean. I didn't have to worry about any burned on messes. I highly recommend this cooker for people who are just learning how to cook.
LOVE it! Easy to use & such a great helper in the kitchen!
I started out looking for a new rice cooker and then I stumbled upon this. While I have a stovetop Fagor pressure cooker, I hardly used it due never getting the hang of keeping it at pressure without babysitting it. It's so great to be able to set it and walk away. Or better yet, put it on a timer! Plus I was able to get rid of my smaller slow cooker and rice cooker. Another reason I chose this cooker is because I wanted something with a stainless steel insert. While it ships with a non-stick insert, a stainless steel one can be ordered directly from Fagor. I got the stainless insert and I love it! It made my great cooker even better.
Versatile, Good online reviews. I use my stove pressure cooker and love it, this makes cooking easier and clean up faster than using the stove. I also like Fagor products. They usually are very well made. Hopefully, this too will be a good purchase.
The 3 in 1 feature, Price and what sold me was all the reviews. I've been wanting a pressure cooker and watched the video on their website and saw how safe it was to use. Can wait to make my first meal in it.
I ordered this for myself a couple weeks ago. I love it. Im new to pressure cooking and love how the food turns out. Chicken is so moist and so fast to cook. Rice in 6 minutes. Haven't used the slow cooker yet. I am addicted to the fast cooking. I did a flaky roast in 1.5 hours instead of my usual 9-10 hours in the slow cooker. I love that I can sear it right in the cooker before I start. Got rid of my crock pot and rice cooker and gained a pressure cooker taking up less space. Love this!
I received the Sur La Table magazine and saw this in there. I didn't realize there was pressure cooker and slow cooker all in one. I did a bit a research and found that this item received high ratings. With that, I decided to buy it. I can't wait to try it out.

Best Answer:Yes, the 3 in 1 multicooker can do both. However, the brown rice should be cooked in the pressure cooker setting, not in the rice cooking function, since the rice function is primarily set for white rice
Many cook books say a pressure cooker should have at least a 15 or 16 psi. Also I don't want Teflon coating is there an electric pressure cooker with at least 15 psi with no Teflon

The PSI for High Pressure is 10 and 6 for Low Pressure. The Breville Pressure Cooker has a Low: (4-4.5 psi), Medium: (8.5-9.0 psi), and High: (11.5-12 psi). The non stick coating is a proprietary blend that the manufacturer does not disclose
I just purchased this item last week at Sur la table, Keirland Commons, Scottsdale store. I was surprised when I got home and found it did not come with any recipes yet on your site one of the benefits listed is an owners manual with 40 recipes. How do I obtain this manual? It did not come in the box. Jeannie Beer
Best Answer:The 3-in-1 Electric Multicooker Recipe Book was the first thing that I saw when I opened the box. It was right on top. The Sur la table where you purchased the cooker should contact the manufacturer for you or you can e-mail fagoramerica( this site wouldn't let me include the link to Fagor but I'm sure that the store has it or maybe it's on the box) & tell them your prob. Is it possible that the one that you purchased was a return and the original buyer kept the cook book? Whatever the situation either the store or the manufacturer owes you a cook book. I hope that you get your book.
Did you try the Fagor website? To be honest I didn't even look at the recipes because there are so many slow cook recipes on line. I use my 3 in 1 weekly and usually at the pressure cooker setting. You can make black beans (dried) in 35 minutes! I know this doesn't answer your question but I hope this message was helpful.
Jeannie-- Mine came with the manual so I would imagine Customer Service should be able to help you find the Owner's Manual. Also, the Fagor website has dozens more recipes for the unit if you want some additional ideas. Best, Jhn
You can usually find any manual online, unfortunately this site does not allow one to post links but just google, the product name and add manual to the end. There are a few sites with a downloadable manual for this product - hope this helps!
Does this pressure cooker cooks fluffy rice or soggy? We eat rice just like Chinese rice (found at China town) not soggy. A fellow customer or friend.

Best Answer:The booklet says for fluffy rice to use 1 1/2 cups rice with 1 1/2-2 cups water. I used 1 1/4 cups with with about 1 1/2 cups water and it is fairly fluffy. You may need to experiment with the rice and water ratio to get the fluffiness you desire. I bought this product because there are times I want to use a rice cooker, or slow cooker, or pressure cooker. This replaces three potential appliances. Hope this helps.
How mobile is this? How tight/secure is the lid? i.e. Can I cook a meal in it, then take that meal in my car to another location and expect that the juices won't leak all over my car? (assume that I have it propped upright, of course)
