Love It! Great Features
I love the fact this unit is multi-function. I've wanted both a rice cooker and electronic pressure cooker. I am thrilled with the prospect of a combination unit to save storage space. This cooker is sleek looking, quiet when in use, and a breeze to clean with its internal nonstick surface. I have used my new Fagor in pressure cooker mode to make Risotto, which requires use of the browning function. The rice/onion mixture browned nicely and the risotto turned out marvelously. I also wasn't scared when using the pressure feature. I will certainly be using this item over and over again. Today I am slow cooking ribs in the unit- they already smell amazing.

"Safe, Easy, & Worth Every Penny"
Always wanted to try pressure cookers but was always concerned with the dangers of this method of cooking. This item takes that fear away! Easy to use, clear instructions on all 3 methods of cooking (Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Pressure), great cookbook comes with it, clean up is a snap, & great browning feature.
You won't be disappointed with this purchase

Easy to use, very versatile
We have found a way to use this every day for the past few weeks! It is so easy to use, and really does a nice job of cooking pretty much anything. The rice cooker function is incredible- we have tossed our old "rice cooker" and are enjoying the fluffy kind of rice that seemed only available at restaurants. The slow cooker cooks things without scorching in spots like our old unit did. And we love being able to brown/sauté and them cook right in the same pan. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a stainless steel insert option. I hate non-stick and would like to rid my house of plastics.... That said, I'm not getting rid of my multi-cooker :)

LOVE it! Easy to use & such a great helper in the kitchen!
I started out looking for a new rice cooker and then I stumbled upon this. While I have a stovetop Fagor pressure cooker, I hardly used it due never getting the hang of keeping it at pressure without babysitting it. It's so great to be able to set it and walk away. Or better yet, put it on a timer! Plus I was able to get rid of my smaller slow cooker and rice cooker. Another reason I chose this cooker is because I wanted something with a stainless steel insert. While it ships with a non-stick insert, a stainless steel one can be ordered directly from Fagor. I got the stainless insert and I love it! It made my great cooker even better.

Workhorse in the kitchen
The Fagor 3 in 1 is the first pressure cooker I have bought, and it was a great purchase! As a vegan, we cook a lot of beans and grains, which were time consuming. This little machine cuts down cooking time to minutes, and turns out perfectly textured foods. No more mushy beans!! I can cook a big supply of presoaked pinto beans in 5 minutes!!

The pressure cooker also has a slow cook function which is great for soups and stews. They slow cook to become flavorful and rich, and you simply put the ingredients together, turn it on and walk away!

I am very happy with this cooker, and love the easy cleaning of the removable inner pot. It's well made, and has become the workhorse of our kitchen.

An AWESOME cooking device!!!
I really enjoy cooking with my new 3 in1 cooker! I made some Pulled BBQ Chicken sandwiches for my family last night in 4 hours. It was a quick and delicious meal. The cooking insert is easy to clean. I didn't have to worry about any burned on messes. I highly recommend this cooker for people who are just learning how to cook.

Easy!
I'm loving this machine. It's made meals a snap on so many levels. Saves time by making cooking hands-off, and faster using pressure. Love the browning feature to pre-brown meat or rice for a pilaf or risotto. It is a snap to clean. Seriously worth every penny.

What is the difference between the Fagor 3-in-1 and the Fagor Lux Multicooker? Also, does the Fagor Lux Multicooker have the same pressure cooker safety features as those listed for the Fagor 3-in-1? I've never use a pressure cooker and I want to make sure that I get as many built in safety features as possible!

Will the "brown" function really sear off a chuck roast ( for say.. Pot roast)?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2014
Best Answer: It can, yes, though not as quickly as doing it on a stove. Also the space can be awkward since it's "tall" rather than "wide" so you may have difficulty depending on the size of the roast.

Will it cook steel cut oatmeal and brown rice??
A shopper on Mar 25, 2013
Best Answer: Yes, the 3 in 1 multicooker can do both. However, the brown rice should be cooked in the pressure cooker setting, not in the rice cooking function, since the rice function is primarily set for white rice

Does this have any Teflon parts/components?
A shopper on Dec 2, 2014
Best Answer: The removable pot is steel, coated with some sort of non-stick surface, likely Teflon. I'd prefer it not be coated, but for the browning function, it's likely necessary.

I just purchased this item last week at Sur la table, Keirland Commons, Scottsdale store. I was surprised when I got home and found it did not come with any recipes yet on your site one of the benefits listed is an owners manual with 40 recipes. How do I obtain this manual? It did not come in the box. Jeannie Beer
Roberta J B on Jan 31, 2015
Best Answer: The 3-in-1 Electric Multicooker Recipe Book was the first thing that I saw when I opened the box. It was right on top. The Sur la table where you purchased the cooker should contact the manufacturer for you or you can e-mail fagoramerica( this site wouldn't let me include the link to Fagor but I'm sure that the store has it or maybe it's on the box) & tell them your prob. Is it possible that the one that you purchased was a return and the original buyer kept the cook book? Whatever the situation either the store or the manufacturer owes you a cook book. I hope that you get your book.

Will this unit automatically switch into the warm mode when it is done slow cooking to hold items?
Peggy P on Jun 18, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, it switches to warm mode after slow cooking and rice cooking. Browning will stay on, but the temperature will fluctuate. I believe there is a safety limit as to how long warming and browning will stay on.

How warm is the warm setting and/or the low for slow cooking temperature? I'd want to make yogurt in here and would need to keep it around 100-107 F. ( I did see the LUX Fagor has a yogurt setting but I don't need all those options it offers, plus it's more expensive).
Karly H on Jun 4, 2015
Best Answer: Unfortunately, the 3 in 1 does not tell you the temperature on warm. The low setting on the slow cooker is about 160 degrees and high is close to 212, so that would be too high for your purpose. As a vegan, this unit is a lifesaver for quickly making beans and grains, and does a great job on slow cooking flavorful soups and veggie stews. I have used it extensively and find it easy to work with and easy to clean. It's a workhorse in my kitchen and I love it. Hope you consider it!

Kelle Y on Nov 9, 2015
Best Answer: It automatically turns to the "warm" function vs. "off" that I find useful when I'm not there so the food keeps warm for serving once we're home. The Fagor is a great addition to our kitchen & so glad we purchased it.

Does this pressure cooker cooks fluffy rice or soggy? We eat rice just like Chinese rice (found at China town) not soggy. A fellow customer or friend.
A shopper on Nov 30, 2014
Best Answer: The booklet says for fluffy rice to use 1 1/2 cups rice with 1 1/2-2 cups water. I used 1 1/4 cups with with about 1 1/2 cups water and it is fairly fluffy. You may need to experiment with the rice and water ratio to get the fluffiness you desire. I bought this product because there are times I want to use a rice cooker, or slow cooker, or pressure cooker. This replaces three potential appliances. Hope this helps.

How mobile is this? How tight/secure is the lid? i.e. Can I cook a meal in it, then take that meal in my car to another location and expect that the juices won't leak all over my car? (assume that I have it propped upright, of course)
