love it!
I shopped a very long time for new dishes. Love dishes. These were to me not so run of the mill as dishes in the same price range and not nearly as expensive as Vietri or others I might lust after. They are wonderful colors and set a beautiful table and I had so much fun not buying only the dishes but many of the lovely pieces to go with it. I had a spree! So I've had them two or three years now. Everything has held up well and I highly recommend them. I should point out a couple of things. The surface scratches with a gray mark from utensils but I purchased a cleaner that I use from time to time from Pfaltzgraff. So no big deal. A cup and plate have chipped but not badly and it's open stock so you aren't stuck not being able to get more. The only real negative is that they aren't microwave safe. Dishwasher but not microwave. I have found that to be a pain but just use other microwave safe dishes to heat so really it's just what you are willing to work around. I think they're worth it.

Beautiful QUALITY Dishes
I was pleased with the efficiency that my order was handled & how quickly I received the dish set. They were packaged for shipping extremely well. After searching a while for affordable Deruta dishes, I was amazed at the solid quality & nice weight to them, but not too heavy like a stoneware. They are designed beautifully, with gorgeous & vibrant colors. I've had them about a month & I highly recommend these dishes. Couldn't be happier

Love this set
We put these on our wedding registry and now use them exclusively as our every day dishes. I always get compliments on them and we think they are beautiful. After 2+ years of use a few chipped and there are some knife scratches on some plates but I think that is normal.

"Like it, Love it!"
First the customer service in the Gateway was out of this world. So helpful and really a nice change from other stores we had been to. The dinnerware set is beautiful and really nice. Not too heavy and looks so beautiful with the Yellow charger plates we purchased seperately. This is our 3rd dinner set in 1 year. The quality of the sets at other stores was so bad. chips and just ugly...this set is wonderful. Looks beautiful and will reach the test of time with no problem. Even my 22 year old Son was impressed with the look. I just love it! You can't go wrong with this set and quality. Price is up there but OH SO WORTH IT! You should take a look. I am sure you will love it too!

Beautiful dishes -- Spectacular Customer Service
First, let me say that these dishes are every bit as beautiful as the photos. I'm a bit of a dinnerware collector, and this set was a starter until I could afford more. Since ordering this set I have purchased more open stock and love every piece. But what's really worth talking about is the Customer Service from Nate. I had two unusual problems and both times he understood completely and made sure I was happy. FIVE STARS FOR NATE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!

"Beautiful, but not practical"
These dishes are gorgeous to look at, but I bought them for every day use, and I'm not sure if that was such a smart idea. Though the plates are lightweight, they are thick, so they don't fit into my dishwasher very well´┐Żand they are not microwave safe.

Since the border is quite large, the actual surface area of the plate (for food) is small--only 6 1/2"" on the dinner plate and about 4 3/4"" on the salad plate. I would have preferred a cereal bowl with the set rather than a soup bowl which barely holds one cup of liquid. The mugs, on the other hand, are too big! 14 oz. is HUGE!

They certainly appear to be well-made, but I haven't had them long enough to know if they'll chip or scratch

Very disappointed
We got a large set of this dinnerware when we got married last year. We are now in search of new dishes and returning this. In one year nearly all the dishes we use regularly have fine cracks in the glaze! This, even without putting them in the microwave. My real hand-painted tuscan majolica has never done that. The woman I spoke with seemed to think it was normal. They will give us a refund, thankfully. This is a huge effort now, to pack the whole set for return and to find new dishes we like.

I have owned this set for under a year and the plates have flatware scratches on them. How do you suggest I remove them? Is there a cleaner available? Dish soap does not work.

Do you have the Deruta dinnerware in open stock in your Bridgeport Oregon store?
A shopper on Feb 11, 2015
Best Answer: Hi! I'm not sure if the 16-piece set of the Deriuta-Style Dinnerware is available in Oregon...I live 50 miles from a Sur La Table Store myself...so I ordered 3 sets On Line, & they came beautifully & individually wrapped...one broken bowl, which the Newport Beach store replaced immediately for me. I now have service for 12, plus all the other pieces & love it!
