Is this unit use a 120 V or 240 V connection?

BEST ANSWER: This is an all around great tool for cooks. It uses a 120v connection, and is the greenest way to cook because it uses 90% of the energy it produces. It also cooks 50% faster than gas or electric cook tops and is conveniently portable
Do you need special pots/pans to cook on induction?

BEST ANSWER: To cook on an induction burner you must have cookware that is induction compatible. An interesting way to find out if your cookware is induction compatible is using a magnet. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of your cookware, then it can be used on an induction burner
Can I cook by temperature and, if so, is it by presets, like my Burton, or can I set the temperature

BEST ANSWER: The settings on this induction burner are preset low/high settings only. There is also a slow low setting and a slow high setting for slow cooking. The other function/settings available on this induction burner are Melt, Warm, Boil, Fry & Sea
