Description

EXCLUSIVE Developed just for Sur La Table in Pittsburgh, PA, by USA Pan, our commercial-quality cake pan meets the highest standards for performance and durability. Each piece in this set is constructed with the same features found in the best pans in the industry.

Thick aluminized steel offers superior heat transfer, corrosion and rust resistance, and excellent durability. Each pan’s thickness is based on years of performance data to deliver perfectly even heat distribution and a lifetime of use. Steel wire is added to pan rims for extra strength and resistance to warping. Our Platinum bakeware is manufactured with 65% recycled steel.

Unique fluted design with corrugated construction maximizes strength and impact resistance, and resists warping and denting that can occur with use. Textured surface allows airflow under baking food for beautifully even overall results and easy release every time.

In addition, our eco-friendly nonstick silicone coating is specifically formulated for baking and contains no PTFEs or PFOAs. The most advanced coating available, no other surface releases food and cleans up more easily.

Solid Performer
This is a heavy pan that is well made and very durable. Although I have only had the pan for a few weeks it appears to outperform other pans hands down. The weight of the pan conributes to more even heat dustribution and better temperature control. The only problem I have had with these pans is they tend to stick together very tightly when stacked for storage.

Great Nonstick Pan!
I used this to make a lasagna and absolutely loved it. The lasagna cooked evenly and the clean up so easy...even the baked on sauce and cheese came right off the pan with ease. Best nonstick bakeware out there.

I've made two cakes with this pan. The fist one I made shrank away from the edges and did't rise very well. I couldn't figure out why that happened. It was a cake made from scratch, so I thought it might be something I did. The last one was a cake mix, and it did the same thing. Now I'm wondering if it has something to do with this type of pan. Who can mess up a cake mix? I did prepare the pan with shortening and flour. I was wondering it you're not suppose to do that with this pan. Any suggestions

Best Answer: Was this a chiffon or agel food cake? If so, those need to grab the pan, and non stick or greasing a pan will not allow a cake to grab the pan.
Having an old mix, or old baking powder might create the problem..

Otherwise, I can't figure what else it could be..

Is it OK to freeze in this? Will items still remove easily? I like to bake and make main dishes ahead of the holiday and store in the freezer, preferably repacking after it's frozen.

Best Answer: I haven't used this pan for anything other than cake, so I can't answer your question with certainty. My sense is that it would still remove easily, but you might want to test it with leftovers just to be sure. You could always line it with foil, too - then removal after freezing would be pretty easy.
