Years ago I went to SLT and asked for a good spatula and the manager led me to this one saying it was the best spatula he ever used, so I bought one. Well he was right, It IS the best spatula every. I use it for turning EVERYTHING, eggs, pancakes, fish. You name it and I turn it. I have sold more of these spatulas for SLT than you know!! I bought everyone of my children (6) one for Christmas and they all love it. After years of use it still looks like new. Great for not stick skillets. My go to spatula
I had a couple of plastic turners that I would use for my non stick griddle and I couldn't stand them. When we had to go gluten free, those needed to be replaced. I was so excited when I saw this. It is the best turner I have used. Works great on all types of cookware, not just non stick. You can not get control turning or lifting food with any other turner. You will not be disappointed
I have been struggling to find a turner that works great on my non-stick pans, yet remain flexible but still stay sturdy and most of all do not melt. These fit the bill perfectly! Wish I would have found them sooner!
I used this turner this evening for grilling sockeye salmon, but as another reviewer stated, tomorrow I could use it for breakfast pancakes or eggs, etc. I gave one to my son a couple weeks ago who just moved into his first apartment and he uses it to turn his Panini. I filled a Christmas stocking last Christmas with utensils that my husband thought we'd like, and tonight over dinner he remarked that this turner was the best gift he opened, and that he would never be without it. If you are concerned that the turner doesn't look sturdy enough, give it a try, it is a power house, but gentle on both ceramic and metal surfaces. I'm confident you won't be returning it. I'm actually considering getting a second one, it's disappointing when I reach for it and realize it's in the dishwasher waiting to be washed. The Kuhn Rikon line is high quality.
Best Answer:You are right! This is a right handed slotted turner because of the bend in the slotted section and the bevel in the silicone on the edges. Although I am a right hander, my husband is a lefty and can't use this as effectively...or as he describes, he has to use it backwards like everything else. Perhaps we should let Kuhn Rikon know that a design for left handed people would be greatly appreciated! As a former foods teacher, my left handed students would have found this to be a point of frustration...This is my most favorite tool when sauteing, preparing eggs and stir frying. Let's hope they add a left handed version soon!!!
As a lefty, I ordered this online thinking I wouldn't have an issue but I was wrong. I ended up going and getting a different one because I couldn't get it right in a pan. Even a metal fish spatula without the rubber is easier to use. Don't bother with this one fellow southpaw!
