Love those handles!
This is the BEST pizza stone I've ever used. I make pizzas several times a week and the Emile Henry stone is the easiest to pick up because of the handles and, by far, the easiest to clean! The pizza comes out crisp on the bottom and soft and cheesy on the top, just like my Italian grandmother's pizza! This is a GREAT product... I highly recommend it

Why go out?
I have done pizza's straight on the BBQ Grill for years. I just bought two stones (and a pizza peal) and it was the best investment I made in a long time for our kitchen gadgets. I heated the stone up with the grill through on the pizza's and had you not known better you would have guessed they came out of a wood fired oven. Our kids also gave them a 5 star review saying they were better than going out for pizza! Highly recommend the stone.

The perfect pizza stone
I received this product as a gift (lucky me) and it's the perfect pizza stone. I had another pizza stone that I used before but this one is better because it has handles on the sides which makes removing from oven so much easier. I love making pizza with this stoneware.

This Pizza Stone is Amazing!
I have made amazing pizza in the oven with this pizza stone. The stone retains the heat so well, resulting in a nice crispy crust.

I'm a huge fan of Emile Henry. Everything tastes better when cooking and baking with Emile Henry products

I don't cook pizza on it........
After a two failed attempts at using a granite stone which kept cracking on my grill to sear meats, poultry and veggies the great service folks at my local store suggested I try this product. I use this about 3 times a week on my grill (Temps up to 550-600) and its held up great after 6 months.

I was looking for a way to cook fish at a high temperature and get a nice seared finish without using much oil and I have had great results. Scallops and Shrimp also do very well. I have even used it to sear steaks and them move them over to finish over open flame. Skinless chicken breasts come out moist every time with a nice finish on them.

Grilling veggies like onions and peppers, egg plant, beets and baby bok choy come out great when using a bit of olive oil. Use your imagination!

I have estimated I have used the stone about 40 times and not have a singe crack. I even took it to a rental house a the beach and used it over a very hot charcoal grill with great results searing seafood for guests.

I always preheat the stone with the grill and let it cool down as well with the grill. I think if you take it off the grill hot and set down on a granite counter top (a cool surface) it could make it crack. I would avoid any sudden temperature swings as a precaution. Putting the stone on an already hot grill to preheat the stone I don't think would be a good idea. Perhaps that is why the reviewer with the ""Egg"" had a problem.

For my use I make a mess of the piece especially when cooking fish. I try to leave the stone on the fire for about 10 more minutes to dry out the surface content. once cooled I use a razor blade to scrape it clean and finish using brillo. I have had good results this way. Its a bit of work but my kitchen is basically clean as I don't have to clean any pots, surfaces or the broiler inside. I also don't have fish smell indoors! If your cooking pizza on it I don't think clean up should be nearly as involved.

With some precaution to temperature exposure I am confident this piece can last.

The results have been amazing giving me greater range of foods to cook with better results on my grill. Maybe I'll try using it for pizza some time

Amazing Results
I'm an experienced home baker, making rustic loaves and pizzas from wild yeast starter several times a week. While my pizza turns out best on a grill, as opposed to the oven, I've cracked many durable stones, causing me to resort to oven baking of our pizzas. While in the SLT store a few days ago, the sales associate assured me this stone would be able to sustain our grill temps without cracking, and would give us very good results. I decided to give it a shot, and she was absolutely right. Not only did it fare well with the high heat, the ceramic glaze cause my crust to be crispy, edges nicely carmaelized and pizza toppings perfectly cooked. It was by far my best result to date. I heated the stone with my grill, easily transferred my pizzas from peel to stone, and used cornmeal and flour to prevent sticking. The cornmeal mixture just brushed off, and it was very easy to clean. I highly recommend this and will be using it often

I have used this pizza stone regularly since the day I received it, and it is a wonder! No pizza peel is necessary and you can cut the pizza/foccacia bread right on the stone! I've used it in the oven and on the grill with excellent results every time. I usually have the temperature at 450 or 500 and this board has not cracked. Sprinkle corn meal on the board before placing the dough on it, and the pizza does not stick and is easily cut after baking. I like this product so much I just bought one for my daughter for Christmas

Clean-up is a SNAP!
I opted to throw out my old regular pizza stone when we moved a few years ago, only I never found one I liked to replace it. I kept thinking of how yucky the regular stones look after cheese and stuff gets on them.
I had been eye'n this one for a while, but the $50 was stopping me from buying it. I finally decided to splurge and wish I did months ago. Clean-up on this thing is so super awesome and it gets my crust super crispy just the way I like it. I would definitely recommend this pizza stone

Excellent Pizza Stone!
Have had this stone for about 3-4weeks, made my 4th pizza on it last night. All except my first try were great, on that attempt, I built my pie on another surface and tried to move it to my dish on the grill. had not flour dusted the dish, and kind of flipped the pie while transferring it to the stone...ended up more like a stromboli than a pizza, no fear still tasted great! Have since learned to dust the stone and make the pie on the stone with excellent results..I love this item

Exactly what a pizza pan should be
This little baby presents a great crust. Had no trouble with sticking. Have not used on the grill to date, but will for sure as that is the main reason for my purchase. Sliced and served right on the dish!

Best Pizza Ever
We purchased this pizza stone so that we could make pizza on the grill rather than in the oven. The pizza comes out perfect and the crust is not soggy or burnt. The stone keeps the pizza hot so we can serve from the stone!!

It definitely is worth the price!

Bonus the clean up is so easy! Nothing sticks to the stone!

Just remember to use the corn meal

Easy to clean??!! Huh?
I don't get that people say this stone is easy to clean. Maybe they have the black one and you can't see the baked-on debris but my red one has a large black blotch in the middle that no amount of scrubbing, bronze-wool, abrasive cleanser, etc. will remove. And it gets bigger every time I use the stone. I have used it on the grill and it works fine. It is also too small as sometimes I roll my pizza very thin and it ends up hanging off the sides of this stone. Wish I had bought a pizza steel instead.

Save your money
We tried this stone tonight to do pizza on the green egg. We preheated it , added pizza and put it on the egg to cook. The stone totally cracked from the heat. The pizza was good but $50 for a pizza stone that does not even last one time...???? DO NOT BUY!!
