Perfect for grating cheese and chocolate, the newly redesigned mechanism presses the cheese onto the grating surface from above while the other hand turns the crank lever—creating the easiest and most efficient cheese mill on the market.
An acid-etched grating plate provides for fast and efficient grating with minimum effort, and the mill’s barrel produces finely grated cheese. Clean mill by pulling off black top, and mill body falls open for easy access. Dishwasher safe. 4¾" x 3½".

This fine piece of German engineering would work well if you wanted just a little cheese. If the cheese is rock hard, plan on getting a workout. Holding the cheese in place require a lot of thumb. Next, hopefully you have to grate the cheese over a massive plate, unless you posses Arnold like arm power. You can't even crank it while it i resting on a flat surface since it's not possible to turn the crank that way. It's a nice design, very well over engineered, it just does not work well for quick, or large portions - even for grating cheese for storage?you need another option. Add to it the over $40 price tag. No way. Not good value
