I have spent a lot of time looking for a 10" x 1" deep round tart pan and this is the closest I've been able to find for a good price. I specifically wanted a 10" pan because my "Pastry" book by Nick Malgieri is full of recipes that call for this size pan. Can't wait to tackle the next tart on my "To-Try" list using this pan.

What size?

What is the most used size for a tart pan? I would really like one, but, would like to buy the most used size first
A shopper on Dec 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The general consensus is that there isn't really a standard sized tart pan. However, I read a cooking blog that said 9"" tart pans are usually used for more gourmet and high end recipes, where 11"" tart pans are typically used for day to day recipes. It might be in your best interest to get both

how high are the sides?
Susan I on May 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The sides on these tarts pans are 1"" high
Are the edges sharp or could get cut?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: No, I do not find the edges to be sharp. I do not think the edges would cut you. Like any tart pan they are blunt but not sharp
Will these tin pans rust?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have only washed mine by hand with dish soap and water and do not have any rust issues. I think if you keep them away from any harsh cleaners and dry them thoroughly, there will be no rust problems.
Are there instructions to care for these pans? Soap and water?
Emmaline F on May 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I personally wash it by hand with dish soap and dry it immediately afterwards. The recipes I make all call for a well greased pan, which helps with any sticking, and this pan turns out beautiful results every time.
How high are the sides?
A shopper on Feb 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The height is an 11/4 inches, when measured with a ruler. With any tart pan the most important factor is how much capacity is needed. An average tart recipe calls for a 10 to 12 inch tart pan. I needed a smaller tart pan to make a Linzer Torte but in tart form. Hope this helps.
Gobel makes this Tart Pen in Seven Inch diameter. Do you have it or can it be ordered?

BEST ANSWER: No, we don't carry this pan in a 7" size.
why is the 8" cost more than the 9.5"?
A shopper on May 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That's a good question. I'm having this looked into to find out. If it's an error, we'll get it corrected on the website.
What are the materials used in the tin steel pan?
Barbara B on Feb 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: These are made of tinned steel.
