I got the 9.5"" ring hoping to use it to make quiche, but it's only about 3/4"" deep. Had the description included this fact, I probably woulndn't have ordered. Also, it's a solid ring; better would be if it had a hinge to snap open for unmolding
First of all, thanks to Rebecca who works at the Los Gatos, CA store. She checked inventory, got a ladder to reach a hanging rack where the 4"" rings were. Exceptional service. These rings are hard to find. None of the competitors have them. They are made in France so the quality is tops. I love the rolled edge, it doesn't scratch non-stick surfaces, great for making potato patties, or use as a mold ring for burgers and just about anything else
Best Answer:I have used them for eggs and they worked well, they need to be sprayed or coated with shortening to make them non-stick. I have also used them for a batter bread on a baking sheet and as molds for individual pot pies.
