"Beautiful, simple teapot with builtin infuser"
I use this teapot all the time because it has the infuser built in. It is very easy to use - just put the loose tea into the infuser, fill with hot water and let steep. Then press the plunger down a few minutes later to stop the steeping process. It's nice to be able to see how strong the tea has gotten through the glass.

The teapot keeps the tea warm for a while, but the handle does not get hot.

Cleaning does require disassembling the pot and infuser. You may want a small bottle brush to clean the spout or it may get tea scum in it over time. The glass is a bit thin, but mine hasn't broken or cracked in the year I have been using it. However, I always hand-wash it carefully.

I definitely would recommend this pot to other tea enthusiasts

Is the strainer of the Assam teapot removable?

in other words, is it possible to put the leaves directly into the water without using the strainer

Best Answer: Yes, you can remove the strainer but you would not be able to use the lid. (It fits into the strainer basket
