The best pot for braising and pot roasting
I have this in 2 1/2 qt (grenadine) and 5 qt (basil). I also have a Le Creuset 3 1/2 qt. I do a LOT of braising and slow cooking, and I have to say the Staub is the best. It's slightly heavier, although I don't have a comparably sized Le Creuset pot, but even my 2/12 qt Staub seems heavier than the 3 1/2 qt Le Creuset. And my perception is that it heats better (especially for browning and searing) without the enamel on the inside.

But the best thing about the Staub is the spikes on the inside of the lid, for self-basting. It's genious

I can only rave about this pot!
I love my Le Creuset pots but I got one of these for Christmas and it was love at first sight! I have the 4 quart coquette and I use it for everything from braised chicken to soups to deep frying spring rolls. It has a nice heavy weight to it and washes very easily. It's pluses are the black interior, the spikes in the lid and the stainless steel handle. It's only minus is that the black interior might keep some white stains if you don't dry it thoroughly after washing

From start to finish!
This enameled cast iron pot can go right from the stove- to the oven (up to 500 degrees)- to the table and right into the fridge! I love it! I can cook everything right in it- serve and stick it in the fridge. It is quite beautiful as well! Hand glazed in France! I am also in love with the grenadine color (but all of the Staub colors are gorgeous!). It cooks very evenly and holds all of the moisture inside of your foods- they even have self basting lids! Wonderful product

great quality
I love this product. From the color (grenadine) to the quality, though a little pricey, I think it's worth when I bought it 3-4 years ago Sur la table had the promo of a free grill pan. I've been looking for a similar promo because I wanted to buy a smaller dutch oven but unfortunately no luck yet. Love brasing my famous carnitas a la chipotle sauce....yummo

One of my favorites pots
This was a gift that I pull out for special dinners. I use it to make roast chicken and vegetables, with everything always turing out perfectly. The color is great and easy to serve right out of the pot
