Mexican Key Lime Patio Tree
Add beauty and appeal to your garden with a fruiting tree. The Mexican lime is also commonly referred to as the Key lime and is the flavoring ingredient of Key lime pie. When it’s ripe, its color is yellow and its taste is more tart and bitter than other limes. It’s excellent for cooking.
The tree’s more compact size makes an excellent addition to urban balconies and limited-space gardens, and may be grown indoors in colder climates. Its small white flowers are intensely fragrant. From the time it blooms to producing edible fruit is about three to four months.
Plant in full sun and provide regular water with well-drained soil. It grows up to 10–15 feet tall if planted in the ground, but can be restricted in size if grown in a pot. Performs best in sandy, well-drained, dry soil with limited freeze. This tree was grown in a nursery in the USA.
