Best General Purpose All-Clad Ever
This was the first All-Clad pan I bought. It has become my workhorse. I cook a lot and was skeptical of the All-Clad hype. I have an excellent assortment of many kinds of pots and pans collected over some 30 years of cooking and this pan exceeds all of them for overall usage. It cooks evenly, browns nicely and cleans up beautifully. I use this pan to prepare soups, sauces and saute vegetables. I have since purchased more All-Clad stainless, but this pan is still the one I reach for when preparing many, many meals

I second the comments of the reviewer of the ?best general all-purpose pot?. This is what this pot is to me as well and I, like the reviewer mentioned, have an assortment of pots from over 30 years of cooking. This one is proving to be the best of my collection of pots and pans. All-Clad is so worth the money. So far, I have used this pot for the frying of several whole fish and for a the cooking of a whole chicken as well as the searing of shrimp. I?ve had the pot two weeks. Initially, I had wanted a large pot where I could finish the cooking of roasts, etc. in the oven. I?ve been saving money towards an All-Clad when I noticed this sale. I can tell you that a baking dish can?t do what a pot like this one can in the oven or on the stove top. I am very happy with this purchase and, thank you Sur la Table for the wonderful sale. My new pot will be used in the making of some of my favorite slow-cooker recipes as well as those large pieces of meat that I mentioned. The options are endless and so rewarding for a cook who can let the pot work in the background without having to check on it frequently
