Best Measuring Cup on the Market
I swear the Pyrex measuring cups are the best. I got the 4 cup and the 1 cup and I am planning to get the 2 cup on too. They are easy to store because they will fit inside of each other. I think the 2 cup might be a tight fit but I bet it would work. They are the best value at Sur La Table because the 1 cup ranges form 9.95 to 12.95 at other stores. I highly recommend this item and is a must have for any chef, home or professional

4-Cup Does Not Pour Cleanly
The 4-cup version has a poor design that does not pour cleanly for larger amounts of liquid.

It's fine for measuring out 1 or 2 cups, since the cup will be fairly tilted when you start pouring.

However, when it's filled it up to 4 cups, the majority of the liquid pours down the outside of the cup and runs off the bottom, making a mess.

Awesome
I bought the 4 and 2-cup measures. They are extremely sturdy and high quality, as always. The red measure lines should stand up to years of use. Simply the best.

Perfect
Everything about this measuring cup is perfect. I read that the AH brand has a problem w/the lettering coming off in people's hands, so that's why I wanted the Pyrex brand. A measuring cup isn't much good if it doesn't have the measurement markings on it. I'm not a fan of plastic, if I can avoid it I will.

Perfect for what it is. There are plenty of reasons for why this is a classic, time-tested kitchen essential.

I needed a new one because the competitor's brand red markings rubbed off in my hands, ugh. How can I measure if there's no red indication marks when a recipe calls for volume rather than weight? Converting is time consuming.

My go to measuring cup for liquids. Needed a new one.
Paula A on Jul 10, 2016
It's a replacement. The previous four-cup measure I owned (Anchor Hocking brand) recently hit the floor and shattered. It also had never poured without making a mess, spilling around the pour spout and down the side of the cup, no matter how carefully or slowly I poured. I was never truly happy with it. The one-cup Pyrex measure I own doesn't make that mess & always pours perfectly. I'm hoping this four-cup measure behaves similarly.

I have been using a plastic measuring cup. After years of use the measurements are not as clear as they use to be. I wanted a brand that would have exact measurements. Pyrex is a name I trust to give me the exact measurements.
Renee R on May 28, 2016
Replacing one my husband broke. We have a cheaper version but all of the measuring numbers scraped off and can't be read anymore. Definitely had to get another Pyrex to replace it.

What are the dimensions? Specifically, I need the heights to see if they will fit under my citrus juicer
Lisa S on Aug 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 1 cup is 3 1/2" tall, both the 2 & 4 cup are 4" tall.
Do you offer a 8 cup in this pyrex set of 3?
A shopper on Nov 3, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The largest Pyrex Measuring Cup we carry is the 4 cup.We do carry an 8 cup measuring cup by OXO
Are these used for liquids only?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They are intended to be for liquid measure because liquid and solid ingredient measuring cups measure slightly differently. These will also handle hot liquids. However, I have occasionally used them for dry ingredients when I was in a hurry. The dry ingredient cups (usually plastic) allow you to level off the top with the back edge of a knife to get exact measurements.
Can you use this as the bowl in a double boiler? I'm looking for a handled bowl with a spout that I can use above boiling water. Thanks!
Jennifer S on Feb 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: When I need to melt honey or coconut oil, I will sometimes put it in my 1-cup pyrex measuring cup and set that in a pot of water on the stove, using it like a double boiler. I think the handle of the measuring cup can get hot so you may need to use a potholder. I'm sure it would work similarly with a larger measuring cup and a larger pot of water.
Can I use the measuring cup for boiling milk?
seshadri l on Jul 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have used the pyrex measuring cup to boil milk and egg mixture for making microwave custard in the microwave oven, which is what I assume you are asking. Don't think I would ever directly put over a stove burner.
where is this glass pyrex measuring cup made?
Janet L on Jan 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Janet, I have a glass PYREX measuring cup, and it was made in NY, USA.....
