Perfect Stainlesss Steel Cooling Rack
I have look high and low for a good stainless steel cooling rack that will fit the half sheet stainless steel pan I have. This is it. I use it with the Focus brand stainless steel half sheet baking pan (size 13""x18""x1""). It fits perfectly well. I am using this cooling rack to bake fish, chicken and bacons. Put all the meat on top of this cooling rack and place it over the baking pan to bake (be sure to put some water on the baking pan on the bottom of the rack so it does not burn and easy to clean up). I plan to use the rack underneath the silicone madeleine molds as well. You can not go wrong with this awesome rack - well made, strong, easy to clean and food safe. Buy it

Great Cooling Rack
Stainless, easy to clean and small enough to fit in the cabinet alongside the bake sheets. Saves your counter tops when setting hot dishes down. Very Durable

Perfect!
I have looked EVERYWHERE for a stainless steel rack for my half sheet pans with the small grid. I wanted stainless so I could roast on it. I finally found it! I bought two and they are GREAT! I just ordered two more! Perfect for cooling and roasting.

Perfect
I bought two of these. I use them to cook bacon and sausage patties in a half sheet. I put a pound of thick cut bacon on one and a pound of sausage patties on the other. Al foil liners to make cleanup easy. They work like a charm.

I wanted sturdy racks that I could use for multiple purposes (cooling racks, baking, roasting etc.). I wanted stainless. I toss them in the dishwasher and they come out clean.

They will come in handy during the holiday cooking season.

Sturdy, well made, easy to clean

Cooling rack
I have looked and looked for a STAINLESS STEEL cooling rack... Not coated, not non-stick....this one is the best. Heavy weight, grid-style, large size, and all at an affordable price!! Love it

Outstanding
I recently ordered two of these and I just love them. I threw out my 15 year-old, folding-legged style in favor of these. They function as expected, and clean up like a dream. They also store much nicer without all those folding parts. I can't imagine ever needing to replace them since the quality is exceptional, but I bookmarked them just in case. Very happy to find these

The Best cooling racks
I bought these cooling racks 2 years ago and they are by far the best racks I've owned. I've owned the non-stick and chrome plated types with the finish on each pealing and then rusting. You'll pay more for these but they'll last a long, long time

Highly Recommend
These racks are absolutely wonderful! I had been searching for good quality, stainless steel (no rust) racks that would fit my half sheet baking pans. These are PERFECT!! I've used them several times. They were sprayed with Pam and used in a 450 degree oven for breaded chicken and pork. No warping and cleaning was a breeze. Just rinse and put in the dishwasher! I only wish they came in a round shape to use in my round roasting pan.

Best I've ever used
Have gone through lots of cookie racks over the years. By contrast, these are durable, spacious, easy to store, and are truly dishwasher safe (no rust, unlike some others I've used over the years). It's so nice to come across something that just does what it's supposed to, and these come through like champs

cooling rack
I had been looking for a stainless steel rack for quite some time and this one was perfect. I wanted it for oven cooking bacon and chicken wings. My grandson uses it for kale chips. Very versatile and easy to clean. Can handwash and safe for the dishwasher.

I have ordered various racks which either do not fit into my half sheets and/or are of very poor quality. I am hoping Sur la table's reputation will provide a superior product. I hope the positive reviews are accurate.

I BAKE COOKIES AND DID NOT HAVE ONE
Mary M on Apr 3, 2016
Is this truly for cooling AND baking?

I'm confused - many people report using this (as I'd like to) for baking - for example, bacon. Yet the responses to some questions about this from SLT cust svc indicate that it is not safe to use in a hot oven and is only recommended for cooling. Yet it is called and baking and cooling rack. I've looked for a stainless steel rack to use for baking in a half sheet pan (to raise items above the pan)and hope that this will work. It sounds as though it is for some - but is there a problem with baking on it
A shopper on Jan 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this rack can be used for baking and cooling, but I do not recommend taking it over 425 degrees
Is there a smaller version of this available, say 8.5" x 13.5"?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I believe the baking racks are available in a variety of sizes. Even sold as a set.
What is the temperature it can withstand in the oven?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure what the mfg recomends but I've used it up to 425 with no problems.
Made in America?

Are any of your cooling racks Made in America?
A shopper on Feb 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: These are made in Taiwan. At this time the only cooling racks we carry are from Taiwan or China.
is this safe for roasting in the oven?
A shopper on Jan 15, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. I use them at 400-450F all the time
Will this rust?
Meg K on Jan 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Have owned for almost a year. Use is a lot on not only cookies but other items as well. Even used it in my smoker. So far-no rust and is easy to clean. I do keep an old toothbrush by my sink for cleaning any of the grind that do not readily come clean in hot doapy water.
Can this be used in a 475 degree oven?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2013
BEST ANSWER: No, I would not recommmend using this rack at such a high heat
I see that the gauge of steel is 18/8 but what grade of stainless steel is used? What is the weight of the rack? Thx
Rosemary V on Nov 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This is A2 stainless steel. It weighs about 3/4lb.
Is this solid stainless steal?
carol s on Feb 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure what you mean by solid. I've never cut a cross section, but all visble surfaces are stainless steel. It's been a good cooling rack. - Julie
Confusing: the product photos are of 2 DIFFERENT RACKS! 1 Image shows 4 feet that are each on the outer edge of the rack frame; the other 2 images shoe a total of 6 feet that are recessed in from the edge of the rack as part of additional welded on wire work...which is accurate? Will make a big difference in the fit for my pan which is the All Clad large jellyroll sheetpan ( used to be sold by SLT untill All Clad discontinued it)
Lynn R on Feb 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The racks I have, have 6 feet which are recessed in from the edge. They fit nicely into my sheet pans, however they are not All Clad.
I want to order but the registration login screen is not https. do you have a secure site I can order this?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: When you are checking out, there is a padlock on the address bar that indicates it's secure. If that is not enough, you have the option of checking out using paypal which is a very secure way to checkout online. I hope this helps.
How high is the rack top surface when it's flat on a half sheet pan?
A shopper on Feb 3, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Roughly measured, ~3/4" high.
Is there a way to stack them for more cooling capacity?
Kevin K on Jan 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have never done that or even thought about it. The trays do have 4 resting spacers on the bottom so I do not see why you could not stack th on each other. I did buy 2 of th but one was a gift to my daughter who lives 3 hours away from me.
Will this rack fit the nordicware half sheet pan?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes. It's a perfect fit.
What are the sizes of the cooling racks?
A shopper on May 25, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Mine measures 16.5" x 11"
