Ideal for cooling and decorating cookies, cakes and other baked goods. Rack’s grid pattern provides support and allows even cooling. Rack doubles as a trivet for casseroles and other hot dishes. 18/8-gauge stainless steel is oven and dishwasher safe. 16½" x 11".
I have look high and low for a good stainless steel cooling rack that will fit the half sheet stainless steel pan I have. This is it. I use it with the Focus brand stainless steel half sheet baking pan (size 13""x18""x1""). It fits perfectly well. I am using this cooling rack to bake fish, chicken and bacons. Put all the meat on top of this cooling rack and place it over the baking pan to bake (be sure to put some water on the baking pan on the bottom of the rack so it does not burn and easy to clean up). I plan to use the rack underneath the silicone madeleine molds as well. You can not go wrong with this awesome rack - well made, strong, easy to clean and food safe. Buy it
I have looked EVERYWHERE for a stainless steel rack for my half sheet pans with the small grid. I wanted stainless so I could roast on it. I finally found it! I bought two and they are GREAT! I just ordered two more! Perfect for cooling and roasting.
I bought two of these. I use them to cook bacon and sausage patties in a half sheet. I put a pound of thick cut bacon on one and a pound of sausage patties on the other. Al foil liners to make cleanup easy. They work like a charm.
I wanted sturdy racks that I could use for multiple purposes (cooling racks, baking, roasting etc.). I wanted stainless. I toss them in the dishwasher and they come out clean.
They will come in handy during the holiday cooking season.
I recently ordered two of these and I just love them. I threw out my 15 year-old, folding-legged style in favor of these. They function as expected, and clean up like a dream. They also store much nicer without all those folding parts. I can't imagine ever needing to replace them since the quality is exceptional, but I bookmarked them just in case. Very happy to find these
I bought these cooling racks 2 years ago and they are by far the best racks I've owned. I've owned the non-stick and chrome plated types with the finish on each pealing and then rusting. You'll pay more for these but they'll last a long, long time
Have gone through lots of cookie racks over the years. By contrast, these are durable, spacious, easy to store, and are truly dishwasher safe (no rust, unlike some others I've used over the years). It's so nice to come across something that just does what it's supposed to, and these come through like champs
I had been looking for a stainless steel rack for quite some time and this one was perfect. I wanted it for oven cooking bacon and chicken wings. My grandson uses it for kale chips. Very versatile and easy to clean. Can handwash and safe for the dishwasher.
These racks are absolutely wonderful! I had been searching for good quality, stainless steel (no rust) racks that would fit my half sheet baking pans. These are PERFECT!! I've used them several times. They were sprayed with Pam and used in a 450 degree oven for breaded chicken and pork. No warping and cleaning was a breeze. Just rinse and put in the dishwasher! I only wish they came in a round shape to use in my round roasting pan.
I'm confused - many people report using this (as I'd like to) for baking - for example, bacon. Yet the responses to some questions about this from SLT cust svc indicate that it is not safe to use in a hot oven and is only recommended for cooling. Yet it is called and baking and cooling rack. I've looked for a stainless steel rack to use for baking in a half sheet pan (to raise items above the pan)and hope that this will work. It sounds as though it is for some - but is there a problem with baking on it

Best Answer:Yes, this rack can be used for baking and cooling, but I do not recommend taking it over 425 degrees
You may be looking for a baking sheet, rather than a baking/cooling rack. These are simply meant to cool your freshly-baked goodies.if you need something to bake food, a baking sheet or jelly-roll pan would work, and you could transfer your food to these racks afterward so that it can cool. The advantage of using this rather than leaving your goodies in the pan after baking is that it prevents over-cooking, and allows air circulation for crispy bottoms. Enjoy
Shouldn't be used in the oven. But these are a great way to cool your food after baking. Transferring your baked goods to these racks rather than leaving them in the baking sheet prevents over-cooking, and allows air circulation for crispy bottoms
