Protects your hands
I have two Lodge cast iron pans, one 8"" and one 10.25"". This handle cover fits both, but is a little loose on the 8"". Still it is great protection when moving the pan around on the stove and protection from burns from accidentally touching the handle.

I bought one and use it for both pans. It's not the best for picking up the pan to spoon contents into a dish. A potholder or oven mitt provides a better grip and more control. But for the price it is perfect to leave on the handle when cooking for protection from burns
