Chipping of enamel on bottom of pan?

I love my Le Creuset Oval French oven. I've had it for 5 or more years and use it often. Lately however the enamel at the bottom of the pan has been starting to crack and chip? Has anyone else had this problem?
A shopper on Feb 1, 2014
Best Answer: Here is some helpful information from the Le Creuset FAQ section:A small piece of enamel on the inside of my pot chipped away. Is it safe to use, and how do I fix it?If the chip is on the outside of the pot, it is still safe to use. Coat the chipped spot with oil to keep moisture out. However, if the chip is on the inside, we recommend sending the piece to be evaluated. If we determine the chip to result from a workmanship error, we will replace the piece free of cost; if it is the result of misuse, we will offer you a new piece at a discounted price. Send the piece to:Returns DepartmentLe Creuset of America114 Bob Gifford Blvd.Early Branch, SC 2991

A shopper on Feb 24, 2015
Best Answer: I have a 3 1/2 quart that has the number 24 on it. I would assume your pot is smaller. Think it best to email Le Creuset, to be on the safe side!

My pot is stained on the inside. How do you clean this and make it look new again?
A shopper on Oct 1, 2014
Best Answer: I have older Le Creuset French ovens and have used a mild mixture of Clorox and warm water for stains on the inside. Let this sit until you see improvement- a few minutes to an hour or so. Then wash in hot soapy water and rinse with hot water several times. If it doesn't remove stain completly try again and either increase amount of Clorox in the water or increase soaking time.

Sugar burned onto the bottom of my dutch oven. Trying to clean & seems the enamel is chipping off. Suggestions on how to clean this mess or is my beloved pot doomed?
Silvia S on Aug 21, 2014
Best Answer: Hi Silvia,
I would suggest that you put water in your pot (at least half filled)
along with a box of Baking Soda. Bring to a slow boil & turn off. Let it sit over night. It should come off.
I have never had anything stick to my pot, but, you should also know, that Le Creuset is guaranteed for life.
Good luck! Susan
