Great Spoon at a Good Price
This was the cheapest of the high quality spoons I looked at online (including comparing to other high end kitchen stores), but it still looked quite nice. Using it proves that it works great and looks very nice. The quality is top notch.

Two (small) criticisms:
(1) The handle is a brushed finish while the spoon is polished. It really doesn't affect anything at all, just a strange choice to not make everything consistent.
(2) The handle could be make a little more comfortable. It really is not a problem, but if you were lifting something heavy with the spoon, it would be uncomfortable. For normal spooning, though, you won't even notice.

This spoon was a great purchase and I would definitely buy it again

I love this My favorite spoon!
I own one (non-slotted) and want to pick up another one or two. These spoons are so well made, attractive, functional and a joy to use. Long handles, strong and sturdy, shiny and easy to clean. A pleasure!

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
I was looking for some larger spoons that did not have such a long handle and these fit the bill.

Which length spoon to choose?

The spoon is offered in both 12.5"" and 14"" length. What would would be the benefits/cons of each length? Is one a more ""standard"" length spoon
A shopper on Jan 6, 2014
Best Answer: I have the 14"" spoon which works great for cooking. It might be a bit much for every day serving, though.I suggest you go measure the length of some of your other cooking utensils that you are comfortable with. This will give you an idea of what size you will want to use

Will the handles get hot if used while stirring on the stove?
A shopper on Jan 8, 2013
Best Answer: Not through normal stirring. If you leave it in boiling water, it will get hot. If you drop the spoon in, stir for a few minutes then it on a spoon rest, you won't heat up the handle.Stainless steel does not conduct heat very well for a metal (compare to aluminum which will heat up quickly). It can withstand a lot of heat, though. If you forgot about it and did leave it a super hot liquid, it will be totally undamaged
