Basic but works the best
After trying a lot of different tea infusers, this basic design is still my favorite. The whimsical ones are cute, but the holes are often too big and the tea leaves come out into your tea. The mesh on these balls is small, so no tea leaves come out in your water - just tea flavor. I find that this style is also easier to clean. I like the bigger size, since it better accommodates loose leaf teas with larger pieces in them (flowers, herbs, orange peel, etc)

Easy ad perfect
Easy to use spring loaded infuser. Mesh size is perfect so small tea leaves don't fall out. Best infuser I've used by far.

I was looking for something with smaller holes. The one I have has larger holes and the finer teas go right through.

a friends mother came here from china to visit and brought us a huge box of different teas for a gift....I do not have a tea infuser, so I went on to SLT to buy one :)

What is the diameter of 1 tbsp one? The one I received is surprisingly small, the tag only says 2in SS spring, so I cannot tell it's the big one or the small one. It does fit one tbsp of tea leaves and have half of the space left, but I don't know if it's big enough for the leaves to expand.

Best Answer: 2" is the 1 Tbsp.

Can this be used with powdered tea (finer like the ones in tea bags)???
ChtVA on Oct 30, 2014
Best Answer: No, the mesh is not fine enough for powdered teas.
