You've changed, in a bad way
I first bought these towels in 2012, and I gave them 5 stars at that time. They were fantastic in every way. In 2015, I bought 9 more towels (I decorate them for gifts). Upon washing, I was extremely disappointed in the lower quality level. The cotton is now rough, the weave is not as tight, and they crinkle up right out of the dryer like cheap towels.

"GREAT, GREAT TOWELS"
These are very high quality flour sack towels. They are some of the best I have found. They are generous in size and hold up nicely to bleaching and washing. I love flour sack towels because they dry things well, aren't too expensive and WHITE so you can bleach them. When they no longer look good enough for kitchen they make great rags

BEST TOWELS!
This is my second set of towels! I use them all the time. They are so absorbent. The best for drying glasses!

Excellent towels!!
These towels have replaced the last of my mother's flour sack towels. Towels wash-up easily, can be treated for stains, and even bleached. Have found no shrinkage from laundering them, dry them on light to medium permanent press heat. After each washing they have become softer. The absorbancy can't be beat when facing mountains of dishes, glasses, along with pots and pans

I love these towels, they are the best performers in my kitchen, soft, extremely absorbent, no lint, and extremely durable. I much prefer them to the heavier towels.

I love flour sack towels for everything. They don't leave lint so I use them for dishes, windows and cleaning. I like to have a stack available as they do get wet easier than terry cloth.

I've used William Sonoma flour sack dish towels for (probably) 20 years. I was going to order some for my daughter for Christmas. Thank goodness I read the reviews. Wm S has "upgraded" to organic cotton and, I guess, changed their finishing process. Per reviews, their flour sack towels do not absorb water. I searched and - again thank goodness! - found your items with great reviews for absorbency. Yay! Margaret Marston
