Works Great
Very happy with this product. The ice comes out looking like a perfect sphere, and melts slow in a glass. Very impressed with this product and it does exactly what it is meant to do

Wow
Great, innovative product. Prefer these to whisky stones for presentation and performace. Boil your water and allow it to come to room temperature before filling your molds to eliminate the air bubbles that would otherwise cloud the resulting spheres. And best not to use these in taller glasses if you're insistent on getting the last drop out of the glass, or you could wind up with the sphere rolling toward your teeth! Overall, these is a lot of fun, an inexpensive splurge, and a really fantastic gift

Fun to use
I bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas to use in his cocktails. They are fun to freeze and fun to use in drinks. They melt slowly in your drink and don't water it down. A very good buy!

Fun Ice Balls!
I bought these for my boyfriend to use while drinking scotch & although he hasn't used them for this purpose, we've definitely used them for our mixed drinks.. We both love them so far! The molds are easy to use & don't take that long to freeze. The ice doesn't melt very fast so they're not watering down your drink... plus they're fun to look at

Wonderful Sphere Ice Molds
I bought 4 for my husband for Christmas.
While on a trip San Francisco a couple years ago, we ordered a cocktail. Our glass had a Sphere Of Ice. We were amazed how slow it melts
We loved them, so this year I was looking to find something special. Looking through a
Sur La Table, and found these Spere Ice Molds.
I ordered and after Christmas we filled the mols with water and put in freezer.
We loved the results and use them daily. I Only ordered 4, but truly could order many more.
It does not have to for cocktails. My grandchildren laugh when I have a Sphere with their soda. Enjoy

Great for Cocktails and Scotch/Whiskey lovers!
Bought these for my husband. They are not something people necessarily think that they need, but definitely appreciate if they have - thus making them a great gift/stocking stuffer! They don't take up too much space in the freezer. They are fun to use and guests love them. They melt slowly so they keep the integrity of your drink/cocktail/scotch/whiskey longer! What's not to love about that

Better with Juice/Fruit than Water
These ice cube molds are great for ice, but even better if you fill them with juice and fruit. I filled one with orange juice, blueberries, and raspberries - it was a great way to keep a pitcher of orange juice cold without watering it down. The ice cubes melt a little faster than I expected, which is why I didn't give this item 5 stars.

It is great in our hot climate so the ice does not melt with multiple drinks.

How do you get the ice out of the mold?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2013
Best Answer: To remove the ice from the mold, simply turn it upside down and gently pull the base from the lid

Easy to use but can't seem to get them to form as clear cubes without cracks. Tried distilled and boiled water. Any ideas?
Jamie M on Feb 8, 2015
Best Answer: I've had the same problem. The only thing I've found that helps is to loosen the sphere from the mold with pretty hot water. This seems to make a clear, nicer looking exterior. I only fill my sphere's with Reverse Osmosis water from my water softening system. I also try to wash my spheres between each use to remove any possible residue buildup but I don't know if it helps. I still get some cracks in my spheres but not usually so bad that it breaks them apart.

Can this be used with warm/ hot liquids? Looking a a spherical mold for chocolate. Would this work?
Ashley T on Mar 12, 2015
Best Answer: Piping hot liquids would damage the mold. I wouldn't do anything above lukewarm.
