"Chai Dao, where have you been all my life?"
The preparation of ingredients for Juicing, Meat Grinding, and Meals usually commands 2 or 3 knives each.

Ive found that my Wustof Chai Dao suddenly replaces these once common barriers of preparation.

It has the weight of a cleaver to butcher large cuts of meat, and the slightly rounded edge enables more precise trimming for which I would normally use boning knife and a clever.

For Juicing, I use it throughout the extent of my operation and really enjoy the extra weight when I get to root vegetables like beets, parsnips, carrots and ginger root.

I didn't anticipate this at all, but once I took to cutting garlic, and shallots, I really saw the benefits of this blade. It allows for precise cutting at the beginning of the process at which point I would normally use my chefs Knife, then transforms to replace my Rocking Knife once I have everything broken down. The wide blade also makes transfer off the cutting board a breeze.

My only possible complaint with the Chai Dao is that I struggle with its classification within my knife collection. It doesn't replace any one knife, but has more uses, with the breadth of its impact significant . I gravitate towards it more and more every day. Its hybrid, extremely functional style makes me question many classical knife designs

Good Start for A Knife Collection
We already had one of these knives, which my husband - the fabulous chef in our household - loves and uses all the time! Our grandson is learning to cook, so we bought him this knife to start his lifetime collection of cooking knives and utensils

Fantabulous Chai Dao knife!!!
A fantastic addition to my Wusthof collection and what a pleasure to use! the curved blade makes the rocking motion a breeze, the weight balance is great and the handle is comfortable to grip. What fun is it to chop with it! Highly recommended for all cooks
