Seriously misleading photos
This is just a gaudy, low-power immersion blender. The big problem I have here is that in ALL the photographs, it does not have a cord (no, it's not that the photos just hide the cord: in order to take those photographs the cord must have been cut off), implying that it is a cordless blender.

But it isn't. A cordless immersion blender would not only be extremely convenient, but also practical (it doesn't use much power, and not for long) and would make it safer. Why do only one or two manufacturers make a cordless one, while the rest all PRETEND theirs are cordless

So Handy
This is great for making some of my favorite soups! Whether it calls for a full blending (butternut squash) or partial (Black bean), I no longer have to transfer hot food to my processor just to then add back the pot when I am done. Less work less mess. It's perfect! Good-looking too

Love it!
It's so very beautiful and useful as well in my kitchen! I have used it a few times and it performed the job very well and clean up was easy and quick. I'm looking forward to using it during the holidays to make special Family Meals (but making them much easier!!!)

Why did I wait so long to buy one?
I make a lot of soups in the winter. I like healthy comfort food and so do my friends. Having recently bought this blender, I was amazed at the simplicity of blending my pumpkin soup right in the pot! Plus clean up was so easy

Handy kitchen tool that often replaces blender
This immersion blender makes life in the kitchen easier in so many ways. I use mine mostly for blending soups and other hot liquids. So often the cooking of homemade soups requires blending at the end. This immersion blender removes the dangerous pouring of hot items into a blender. Instead, I'll just pull out this handy blender and it makes quick work of hot items while still in the cooking vessel (often times my 5.5 quart Le Creuset French Oven). It of course has a cord, but since it no where says that it's cordless I was fully anticipating that. The cord is plenty long enough and doesn't hinder it's use in any way. The lower steel portion detaches from the blender's handle for very easy clean up. Overall this is a great tool that I'm very happy with

Will I ruin the finish on my Le Creuset pot if I use this blender in it?
Alexandra M on Oct 26, 2014
Best Answer: Well, I suggest do not use this blender too close to the pot. Also, try avoiding using inside a ceramic or cast iron pot. Double ply steel is ok to use with this hand blender.
Though, I highly recommend, you should use the plastic container provided along with this blender. For soups, you can blend within the soup pot, provided, don't touch the bottom or sides using this blender. It certainly spoils the pot.
