1st rate tool for those w/ only 1st world problem
A truffle slicer is such a luxury, but this one does the job with great aplomb. The width adjustments are very precise and capable of slicing truffles so thin they only have one side

Can you make chocolate curls with this?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2015
Best Answer: I am not sure. The blade is serrated, and I just tried it on some cold mexican chocolate, and it does a fine job making grated chocolate. Perhaps if the chocolate were warmer it might.

I bought it for slicing garlic, which it does fabulously.

How to use the adjustable slicer?
Catherine H on Sep 10, 2015
Best Answer: It's very easy to use (and clean!): just adjust the one knob to the desired thickness and run the item to be sliced over the blade (like a mandolins). Carefu: it's very sharp. This is great for slicing garlic into paper-thin slices or for quick slicing of vegetables. I didn't have muchuck with it on making chocolate shavings, however.
