Excellent skillet.
Sometimes you just need a cast iron skillet and when you do this one is a solid choice. I love my Lodge cast iron skillet but this Staub is great because it is enameled and won't react with acidic foods. This pan can easily be cleaned with soap and water without worrying about stripping the seasoning. You can boil liquids in this pan without worrying about damaging the seasoning. All in all, this is an excellent skillet.

The quality that Staub products give and are made is superb. Add the beauty of the products with this 12 inch diameter skillet and you have a total package of top form cookware!

This is the fourth Staub piece that I have added to my cookware collection. It has the properties of cast iron while being easy to wash. I love my All-Clad stainless steel, but sometimes cast iron is what you need.

I wanted a cast iron skillet, but I wanted it to be enameled for ease of cleaning and care, verses a traditional skillet (such as Lodge, which is much cheaper). I purchased this one due to the discounted price compared with sticker price, and also because of the known quality of Staub. Their product is known for very having incredibly strong enamel, so this should last more than a lifetime.

Because it will be the only pan they'll ever need if they take care of it.

My husband is on a personal quest to make the perfect steak. He's perfected his method, and finishing them in a cast iron skillet is the final piece to his puzzle. We wanted something we'll have forever and won't rust. Thank you, Sur La Table!

The interior enamel coating works better than does straight-up cast iron for most sauces.

I love cast iron skillets but my black iron skillets don't handle acidic foods too well. Not a concern with the Staub enameled cast iron skillet. Excellent value for a virtually indestructible pan.
