Works as advertised
This lightweight but sturdy screen does the job. Saves a lot of stovetop cleanup!

Excellent screen!
I bought my first one about 9 years ago & we use it quite often. It's just now starting to wear out. Excellent use to cost value

The splatter screen worked. It was a bit too large to work for me. The flame scorched the screen because my skillet is only 11". 13" is quite large.

Works OK
This doesn't stop all the splatter when you're cooking bacon or browning meat, but when I did both today this screen did catch a good portion of the grease. An average quality product, it seems to do reasonably well and cleans up easily. Remains to be seen if it'll rust after I wash it.

GOOD FOR COOKING A BIG POT OF SOUP, WHEN YOU WANT THE STEAM TO ESCAPE WITHOUT BOILING OVER. A STAINLESS STEEL SOLD LID TENDS TO POP UP WITH STEAM PRESSURE AND BOIL OVER AND MAKE A MESS ON THE STOVE. WHEREAS THE STAINLESS STEEL SPLATTER SCREEN ALLOWS THE STEAM PRESSURE TO ESCAPE AND YET PROVIDE SOME SAFE PROTECTION FROM BOILING SOUP SPLATTERS. MARY.

needed to get something to help w/ grease splatters AND large enough for my 13"saute pan,
I wish your 9.75" was 11" diameter, I don't understand why it is not bigger since many people have the 10 " skillets and fry pans. It will only work on the <9" skillets.

Is it dishwasher safe?
A shopper on Aug 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this is dishwasher safe.
do you carry large splatter screens, 15 or 16" to use on large fry pans?
A shopper on Jan 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, we don't.
Does it allow steam to escape so that food does not steam? I Had issues with another screen in past.
naomi m on Jun 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If this screen is as fine or finer mesh than what you used in the past you will still have "issues" with steam being held in. A less fine mesh, however, could result in splatter, so would be counter to the reason to use the screen. When I need to limit the amount of steam held in, such as when sautéing scallops, I put the screen on the sauté pan for the first minute or so, then offset it for the balance of the sauté time - another couple of minutes - so the steam escapes. By that time the small amount of oil in the pan is less "lively" so there is minimal spatter. I have been very happy with this screen. I only wish there was one between the sizes offered that would better fit my 10" pan. The smaller one is a bit too small. The larger one, which fits my 12" pan nicely is awkward on the 10" pan.
Can I use it in the oven too? Is it safe..?
Grisel U on May 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, this product is not oven safe.
