Worst ricer ever
I bought this ricer recently. After opening the box i immediately noticed how flimsy the metal seemed. The first time I used it i realized how right I was. I had several fully cooked potatoes that I had cut into smaller chunks, before I had even completed the first potato the cup and the piece that presses the potato were completely bent out of shape. This may be the first and last piece of Sur la table branded equipment I buy

When I make tuna fish salad, I put tuna in a strainer and wash it. It is a lot of work to squeeze all of the water out by hand. Could I use a potato ricer for this?
clare r on Jun 29, 2015
Best Answer: I think you could yes. If the tuna is large flake tuna, it might press it through the holes and make the flakes smaller. I hope that makes sense. As long as you don't mind smaller tuna flakes, you should be fine. I have used mine as a juicer in a pinch as well.
