Serves: For 2 gallon beverage jar
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 cups water
- 3 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 20–25 lemons)
- 7 cups water

Procedures:Sunny days call for sipping sweet lemonade on the porch. Use fresh-squeezed lemon juice for a flavor that that is superior to any store-bought mix.
Stir sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until mixture begins to boil, sugar is dissolved and the mixture is clear. Set aside and cool. In your beverage jar, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup and water. Mix well with a wooden spoon. Top off beverage jar with crushed ice and lemon slices. Serve in tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.
