Serves: Yields 2 servings
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil
- 2 cups whole milk, divided
- ¼ cup sugar
Blend the strawberries, basil and 1½ cups of the milk in a blender. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze for about three hours.
Once frozen, place seven or eight cubes into the blender and add the remaining ¼ cup of milk and the sugar. Blend for about two minutes or until the mixture is the consistency of soft serve. Serve immediately.
Optional: Place the soft serve in the freezer for a few hours for a harder texture.
