Warm Apple Cider


  • 2 quarts 100% apple juice
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 apple, unpeeled and cut in half
  • 1 small naval orange, unpeeled and sliced into ¼-inch slices
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice


Make the holidays more festive or just warm up the fall and winter seasons with this delicious spiced classic. For use with the Kenwood Cooking Chef Induction Kitchen Machine.

Carefully insert the whole cloves into the apple on both the flesh and skin sides. Add the Flexi-Beater attachment. Turn on the temperature knob to 195°F to warm up the Cooking Chef bowl.

Add the apple juice, and turn the control knob to stirring speed 1, increase the temperature to 212°F and let the juice heat for 10 minutes.

Next, add the brown sugar and stir for 5 minutes to dissolve. Add the fruit and spices. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Promptly remove the apple halves, orange slices, cinnamon sticks and any clove remnants from the Cooking Chef bowl. Serve hot.
