How Induction Cooking Works:
- Electronically, a magnetic coil produces a high-frequency electromagnetic field
- Magnetism penetrates the metal of the ferrous (magnetic-material) pot or pan and sets up a circulating electric current, which generates heat
- The heat generated in the pot or pan is transferred to the contents
- As soon as the vessel is removed from the element, or the element turned off, heat generation stops
