Deruta, Italy, has been home to traditional majolica earthenware since the Italian Renaissance, and the work of this city’s Grazia family dates back to the 16th century. Each item in our collection has been personally signed by a Grazia artisan and made especially for Sur La Table. These pieces represent world-class craftsmanship—fired twice to achieve the authentic colors and characteristic deep glaze that are the hallmarks of majolica earthenware—each step of the process is executed by hand, by artisans following centuries-old traditions.
