¾ C shortening ( 6 tbsp of melted Crisco + 6 tbsp
crisco oil)
5 C all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp of flavoring—lemon, vanilla or anise (your choice)
Procedure
Beat eggs to a froth and add sugar beat well. Add shortening and flavoring mixing well. Gradually add flour and salt. Mix until ingredients are incorporated.
Cook batter in pizzelle iron about 30 seconds. Every iron
is different so try this recipe to test cooking time.
