What You Will Learn
Can’t wait for dessert? Make all sorts of yummy goodies and become your family’s resident dessert chef! Join a group of kids and teens, and an experienced Sur La Table chef instructor, in the kitchen to learn how to make your favorite sweets, snacks and treats from around the world! Go to Italy for chocolaty gelato, France for fruity crepes, Mexico for amazing fondue, England for tender scones and stay right here in America for gooey whoopie pies! And that’s just the beginning!
Kids will master core basics of baking to develop creativity for a lifetime foundation of fun in the kitchen, including how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, monitoring cooking temperatures and times, and kitchen safety. At the end of each class students will eat their creations.
Classes run about two hours each and last for five consecutive days. Share your love of cooking with kids through an experience they’ll never forget. At the end of our intensely tasty treats camp, each chef will take home a packet of the recipes they made and their own Sur La Table apron. Kids age 8-17 are welcome to join.
