What you will learn
Cooking Class Description: French cooks make everything better with butter! Learn to take pan-roasting steak to the next level by topping it with truffled butter. To accompany the steak, we’ll make a creamy lobster risotto—a delicious accompaniment to many meals. We'll accentuate green beans by sautéing shallots, garlic, freshly grated lemon zest and lemon juice to make an almondine sauce that adds richness to the veggies’ brightness. We end on a sweet note: building and brûléeing a banana split. You'll walk out of class with delicious recipes and a new Demeyere Essential 3-quart sauté pan (a $229.95 value).

What To Expect: Great cooking is about more than recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • You will work with other students in groups of 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • You will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
