Cancellation Policy

Thank you for registering to attend a Sur La Table culinary class. We understand that sometimes class cancellations are necessary, and this policy describes what happens in the event of a cancellation. For cancellations made up to 48 hours before the schedule start time of a class, Sur La Table will refund your class fee in full back to the original form of payment (or, if you prefer, issue you a refund in the form of a Sur La Table gift card). For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start of a class, we are not able to offer any refunds or in-store credit. Cancellations or changes can be made (1) in person in at the location of the culinary class or (2) through our toll-free number during normal business hours, by calling 800-243-0852 and speaking directly to a Sur La Table representative. We cannot accept or honor cancellations made by email or left on voicemail. When we cancel a class due to inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control (e.g., power outages, facility issues, etc.), we will endeavor to contact you by email or telephone with as much notice as possible and issue a full refund to the original form of payment (or, if you prefer, issue you a refund in the form of a Sur La Table gift card). However, if we do not affirmatively cancel a class by email or telephone and you are unable to attend, our standard cancellation policy applies. Please note that Sur La Table reserves the right to modify class menus at any time due to ingredient availability or seasonality.

Class Description: Dumplings: the very word makes our mouths water. Divine parcels of filling and wrapper, skillfully balanced to deliver the perfect bite of savory, chewy goodness. Hao and Dixya, Fort Worth Weekly's Favorite Pop Up, have been folding and steaming their way into our stomachs and hearts since they started Lost in the Sauce, their food experience business, earlier this year. Hao and Dixya will demonstrate tips and tricks to preparing their favorite recipes so you can be a dumpling master, too. You will learn to prepare various fillings, folding techniques and dipping sauces for the ultimate dumpling experience.

What To Expect: Great cooking is about more than recipes—it's about techniques. In this demonstration-style class you'll watch with other students in a fun environment led by our guest chefs.

  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • This demonstration-style class is limited to 20students
  • You may be standing for much of this class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • You will enjoy a taste of every dish
  • Students receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class

Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
